Chevrolet Launches The Cruze
Leading auto maufacturer General Motors has launched its most awaited premium sedan model Chevrolet Cruze in Indian market.The Cruze is expected to compete with the likes of Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla Skoda Octavia and Volkswagen Jetta in the D segment, in the Indian market.
The Chevrolet Cruze will be available in a 2.0-litre diesel engine and has a 5-speed manual transmission. It is built on the GM's global Delta 2 platform. As always expected, Chevrolet has not launched the petrol variant.
Apart from the spacious interiors and great styling the car also has airbags and ABS, well-laid instrument cluster, multi-information display unit, rain sensing wipers, funky interiors, and keyless entry and start. And the car also has an attractive fuel efficiency of 18.3 kilometres per litre, and is priced in the range of Rs 10.99 lacs to Rs 12.45 lacs (as ex-showroom prices in New Delhi).

New Honda Civic India

Honda Siel Cars on Tuesday launched a new version of its leader in the D-segment the Honda Civic.Honda is facing a stiff competiton in the segment with the advent of new launches like Corolla Altis, volkswagen jetta and recently launched Skoda laura.To counter this and to revive the sales of civic, Honda came up with the new Civic.
The new Civic is available in four variants: Civic 1.8V Elegance, Civic 1.8S Elegance, Civic 1.8V Inspire and Civic 1.8S Inspire. These variants are powered by a 1.8L iVTEC engine, which is the most advanced engine technology available in the segment.he ARAI fuel efficiency results for Civic MT are 15.5 km/l. The car is E10 compatible and has Euro IV emission levels.
The car comes with some minor changes like the modified grille with sharp edges, new alloy wheels, changes in the front bumper, new rounded fog lamp and a tweaked tail lamp cluster.The interiors too include some change like,addition of a USB port, fuel economy indicator and new fabric texture.The top end civic variant gets cruise control too. Sadly, there still are no steering mounted audio controls even in top end variants.
The the new civic variants are priced between 11 to 13 lakhs , where the Honda Civic S MT is priced at Rs11.80 lakhs Honda Civic V MT at Rs12.70 lakhs and the Honda Civic V AT at Rs13.44 lakh.
Honda’s new civic comes in five colours – black pearl,white,red,silver metallic and neew polished metal metallic. Honda also offers two different accessories package for the new civic – Inspire and Elegance. Inspire package of new civic comprises front underskirt spolier, trunk spoiler,rear spoiler and side spoiler. The Elegance package offers parking sensor, door and door visor and illuminated garnish for steps.

All New Zen Estilo

The Estilo has a 998 cc, Three-cylinder engine and five-speed gearbox combo. It gives a maximum power of 64bhp at 6,200 rpm and maximum torque of 84Nm at 3,500 rpm.According to the ARAI tests, the Estilo is expected to give a fuel average of 18.2 kilometers per litre.

Tata Nano now on roads....

Recently I got to see the Nano near my house.The car has been designed with a family in mind, has a roomy passenger compartment with enough leg space and head room. It was the top model (LX) which had a three spoke steering wheel.The dash of the car has been designed in such a manner that they can easily produce left hand drive models as the instrument cluster is placed in center of the dash and the design of dash is same on both sides.
The exteriors look too compact, The tyres seem to be too small, equivalent to any three wheeler (auto rickshaw) .The rear looks like the old Indica, with almost same kind of tail lamps.
All in all the car looks a bit odd and unusual when seen closely.

The Ford Fiesta SXI With a All New Look
On the engine front, the new Fiesta SXI comes with an option of either the 1.6-litre Duratec petrol, or the 1.4-litre Duratorq diesel engine.
This new top-end variant of the Ford Fiesta SXI has been priced at Rs. 6.99 lakhs for the petrol version and Rs. 7.99 lakh for the diesel (ex-showroom, Delhi), and will be available at Ford dealerships across the country starting on the 3rd of August (Today).

The Grande Punto is here!
Fiat India Automobiles has launched its premium hatchback, the Grande Punto in India.The car has been aggressively priced with the petrol variant costing Rs 3.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Grande Punto is available in 1.2-litre and 1.4-litre petrol engines and the 1.3-litre multijet diesel engine. The Grande Punto is meant to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Ritz and Swift, Skoda Fabia, Hyundai i10 and i20 and a few more.
The 1.2-petrol will be available at Rs 3.99 lakh ex-showroom Delhi. The 1.4 FIRE petrol has been priced between Rs 4.66 lakh and Rs. 5.61 lakh. The 1.3 MultiJet diesel is also set to give established Indian hatches a good run for their money with pricing between Rs 4.85 lakh and Rs. 6.11 lakh.

Honda Jazz Finally Launched
Honda Siel has finally launched its latest car, the Honda Jazz, in the indian car m arket.
Honda Jazz in India, priced between Rs 6.98 lakh and Rs 7.33 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
The Jazz boasts an optimum balance between a futuristic aerodynamic exterior and spacious interiors and brings added fun and excitement to the driving experience.
The Jazz has been launched in India with a 1.2 L i-VTEC engine which has been specially developed for the Indian Market.The Car is a 4 cylinder 1198 cc engine featuring Programmed Fuel Injection delivering class-leading power of 89 Bhp at 6200 rpm and torque of 110 Nm at 4800 rpm while giving an impressive fuel economy of 16.1 km per litre as per ARAI test data. It is expected that Jazz will give mileage of around 13-14 kms per litre in city driving.

Maruti To Launch Ritz
India’s largest car manufacturer, Maruti Suzuki India Limited, is now ready to launch Ritz which is aimed to target the B-segment customers. Maruti plans to launch Ritz on the 15th of May. Maruti Ritz has cleared whole vehicle test that was conducted by ICAT (International Centre of Automotive Technology) at its test centre in Manesar and got approval to launch. The car would be launched with two engine options, one with a 1.2 liter, 1197cc, K12M petrol engine and second one is 1.3 liter Multijet diesel engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox. Ritz has been already launched in Europe and has replaced Maruti Wagon-R there. The expected price of this new car will be in the range of Rs. 4.0 - 5.5 lacs.

Hyundai i20 Brochure

Hyundai i20 made it's debut at the Paris Motor Show 2008. Similar to its predecessor i10, the i20 will be manufactured exclusively in India and exported to other countries.
The i20 has been launched in 3 variants in India:
- i20 Magna
- i20 Asta
- i20 Asta(O)
The only difference in Asta & Asta(O) is that the O variant comes with side and curtain airbags which is a first for a car in this segment in India.
It has been initially launched with 1197cc Kappa petrol engine with 79 Bhp of maximum power and 110 Nm of torque. Hyundai is also planning to launch a CRDi variant in March/April 2009.
The 1.2 Kappa engine is peppy with a 12.9 second 0-60 time. The engine has been tuned for minimum emissions & maximum economy.
